Here are some of the amazing benefits that orthodontic treatment can provide:

  • Improved oral health. Straightening your teeth and correcting your bite can reduce your risk of developing tooth decay, gum disease, TMD (joint problems) and other oral health problems.
  • Improved appearance. A beautiful, healthy smile boosts your confidence. Straight teeth can reduce the incidence of staining and discolouration as it makes it easier to maintain good oral hygiene.
  • Reduced wear and tear of the teeth. Misaligned teeth can cause abnormal wear on tooth enamel leading to chips and cracks which may require extensive and expensive dental procedures to correct.
  • Improved speech and communication. Protruding and misaligned teeth can affect your speech, making it more difficult to pronounce certain words and sounds.

What types of orthodontic treatment do we offer?

At Kaizen we offer treatment for children, teens and adults.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that parents should consider bringing their children to see a specialist orthodontist by age 7 to check that dental and jaw development are progressing normally and to identify possible problems as early as possible. At Kaizen, we treat children with a range of appliances including removable braces, expanders to make more space for the permanent teeth and fixed braces if needed. The teen years are usually the best time to consider orthodontic treatment. This is when the teenage growth spurt has started and the teeth have changed to the adult (permanent) teeth. Options for braces would range from fixed metal braces to clear aligners. Click here for Illustration.

More and more adults are having orthodontic treatment nowadays to address issues that were not corrected when they were younger or to correct new problems that appeared later in life. We realise that having an aesthetic brace is important for adults and offer ceramic (tooth-coloured) fixed braces and aligner treatment.
